Welcome to the Social Science Education Consortium new website. We hope you will find its features useful and engaging.
Here are the features of this web site:
- The ABOUT tab leads to a description of SSEC’s mission, governance, activities, and its nearly 60-year history.
- You will find updates on SSEC activities and events, as well as events of allied organizations under NEWS AND CALENDAR, including our SSEC calendar.
- One of SSEC’s central initiatives is our EARLY CAREER SCHOLARS PROGRAM that supports participation of advanced doctoral students and early career academics in our annual conferences, including presenting papers and the possibility of publication in the conference book.
- In PUBLICATIONS you will find our latest conference books and materials, with a link to our official publisher, Information Age Publishing. We have also preserved several seminal SSEC publications that are only available from SSEC.
- Find information about our upcoming ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Click on the TIMELINE OF SSEC tab to find overviews of our past conferences.
- In RESOURCES FOR TEACHERS include our Economics project developed with National Science Foundation funding and links to other resources relevant to teaching social science/social studies.
